New An Post-Sean Kelly gear for 2013 – looks good; significant sponsor changes

Here’s the first look at the new An Post-Sean Kelly team kit for the 2013 season ahead. The biggest difference to the 2012 kit is the addition of more black to the gear, which we think looks great. The kit is being distributed again by www.ultimate-clothing.com which is owned and run by Declan Keogh, the businessman behind the Dectek technology company.

Some subtle changes to the strip are most interesting.

Having come into the team as one of a number of minor sponsors for 2012, the ChainReactionCycles.com logos are much more prominently placed on the kit for the year ahead.

The Northern Ireland-based company, which is the biggest online cycling retailer in the world, enjoys almost equal billing with An Post on the new kit.

Another significant addition is the Bradley Wiggins Foundation logo on the left shoulder of the jersey.

UK rider Kieran Frend has been added to the An Post-Sean Kelly team from Node4 Giordana for the season ahead as a result of the new link-up between the Wiggins foundation and An Post-Sean Kelly.

However, the inclusion of the Wiggins logo on the jersey suggests a formal arrangement has been put in place between the Irish-Belgian squad and the Team Sky leader’s foundation.
