The Irish road racing season may be almost over but one key fixture still to come is the National Hill Climb Championships.

This time around the event has been scheduled for Sunday, October 1st, and is being run in Co Galway.

There will be male and female senior titles to fight for. Juniors are permitted to ride the senior title races but no junior titles will be awarded.

Champions will also be crowned in the three Masters categories.

Promoted by Galway Bay CC, the championships take place in the townland of Castledaly.
