The Irish national crit champs are down for decision in Banbridge next Friday night with a string 60-rider field set to do battle.
Defending champion Mark Dowling is travelling north with three teammates Bryan McCrystal, Roger Aiken and Declan Mulholland and they won’t relinquish the title without an almighty battle.
The host club have five riders and among them, off-road men James Curry and Gareth McKee should both go well.
Conor Hennebry and Mark O’Callaghan fly the flag for Aquablue while Fintan Ryan (Dunboyne CC) is in with a shout, as is Marc Potts (Neon Velo).

The one-kilometre closed-circuit race gets underway at 7.45pm and will last one hour.
