
Endurance riders in Ireland have more races to aim for next year with news that the dates have been fixed for Race Joe Barr.
Riders can choose from three distances - the Team Joe Barr 200, the TJB Coastal 330 and the Team Joe Barr 500.
As the race titles suggest, they are run over distances of 200 miles, 330 miles and 500 miles. They will take place on the weekend of May 7th and 8th; starting and finishing at the Best Western White Horse Hotel, Clooney Road, Co Derry.
The Team Joe Barr 200 is open to male and female solo riders as well as two person teams, made up of men or women. You can find details of the route by following this link.
The TJB Coastal 330 is also open to male and female riders as well as two-rider teams and you can check the route here.
Finally, the biggest one; the Joe Barr 500 is also open to solo riders or two-rider teams and all route details are available to view here.
There are conditions around cut off times and also the kind of support crew and vehicles all riders and teams must have in place. You can find all of those details right here.
The events are also accredited as follows:
- The Team Joe Barr 200 is a non-stop 200-mile (320 KMs) World Ultra-Cycling Association accredited endurance cycling race. Each rider will carry a GPS tracker at all times.
- The TJB Coastal 330 is a non-stop 330-mile (530 KMs) World Ultra-Cycling Association accredited endurance cycling race. Each rider carries a GPS tracker at all times.
- The Joe Barr 500 is a non-stop 500-mile (800KMs) World Ultra-Cycling Association accredited endurance cycling race, which is also included in the annual WUCA 500-mile World Championship series. Each rider will carry a GPS tracker at all times.
