Action from last year’s racing at Mondello
Following the success of the return of racing to the Mondello motor racing track in Co Kildare last year, details have now been unveiled of a new series to be held at the venue over the summer months.
With a total of six races - all of which will be handicapped events - the series is a substantial one for any riders based in the Leinster area or even a little further afield.
The races will be open to all senior categories and will all be run on Tuesday evenings, starting at 7.30pm.
The events are being put on by Naas Cycling Club and the Irish Road Club, backed by ‘Harry’s Bikes’ of Clonskeagh in south Dublin, and Usher Insulation.
Racing is scheduled from May to August on the following dates: May 15th, June 19th, July 3rd and 24th and August 7th and 14th. All races are open to A1, A2, A3 and A4 riders.
With the track situated close to the M7 and M50 near Naas, it is within easy reach of huge parts of the country, a factor that should guarantee big fields and exciting racing like last year.
