Molano appears to hit Page again after Dauphiné stage 6 | Video

Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE Team Emirates) appears to hit Hugo Page (Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux) again after stage 6 of the Dauphiné into Gap following on from his striking out with 10km to go in the race

Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE Team Emirates) was disqualified from Critérium du Dauphiné after striking out at Hugo Page (Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux) during stage 6 and then appeared to hit him again after the race.

The duo were filmed near the team buses after stage 6 came to an end today, with the footage below showing both gesticulating and Molano striking Page on the side of the head, as he had done on the race.

With about 10km to go to the finish in Gap, the pair appeared to have a dispute at the back of the bunch, with Page later claiming Molano accused him of cutting him off.

Molano responded by pulling Page back by the right thigh or hip and then struck out at him twice, with one of those strikes landing on Page's helmet. The incident was captured by the TV cameras and was replayed during the stage, resulting in Molano's disqualification.

However, while the Colombian rider apologised in a brief statement issued by his team, it now appears he continued to remonstrate with Page after the stage and struck out at him.
