Matt Teggart on Rás: "I've done a lot of miles and hard work"
Matt Teggart goes into his second An Post Rás today after an up and down season so far. He has been sick and injured at various times but he has also shown some really good promise in races like the Tour of Normandy.

Matt Teggart has said he’ll be going into the An Post Rás this week aiming to grab any opportunity he can.
The An Post ChainReaction rider will be keen to impress in what will be his second time doing the race, having ridden for the national team last year.
Teggart (21) has extra motivation to ride well also given the fact his current team faces an uncertain future because their chief sponsor An Post announced it was withdrawing their support for next year.
“I'll be going in to try and grab any sort of chance at a result I can get,” he said.
“We've a very strong team so I don't really have a specific personal goal.
“I'm happy to do a supporting role for any of our lads but of course I'll take any chance I get and will hope to make an impact.”
Teggart says the race is unique and likens it to a lads holiday.
“It’s the only race where you know the majority of the field rather than just the usual one or two Irish within our own team at the most pro races.
“It's sort of like a massive lads holiday around Ireland for eight days, it's nice to chill out and have a laugh with everyone after each stage.”
As for his current shape he said: “The health is good, I’m happy with my shape going into the race.
“I've done a lot of miles and hard work the last few weeks since I broke my elbow so I hope it sticks by me this week.”
