Marcus Christie has competed against the clock to World Championships level, above, and after a strong 25 at the weekend is looking forward to the National TT Championships on Thursday.

His is not a name that has been cropping up in the results so far this year, but Marcus Christie's ride in a 25 mile TT at the weekend proves his form.
He clocked 48:31 at the Father’s Day 25 on the Woodgreen A26 course near Ballymena.
It is a long way off the sub-47 he clocked in Wales in 2013. But given that his goal is the National TT Championships in Wexford on Thursday evening, he told stickybottle he was very happy with the ride.
“I did a 46:41 in Wales in 2013, Ryan Mullen beat me by 4 seconds that day,” he said.
“But some of the British courses are ridiculously fast compared to here.
“(Yesterday) wasn’t a super fast compared to what I've done before, but on a Sunday morning; I'm happy with it. But it's all about Thursday.”
"I'm running a bit behind with lack of racing but I'm looking forward to how I fare on Thursday with a bit of structured TT training against a quality field!
Competing in the colours of Performance SBR, Christie is still riding the Team Sky TT bike once used by Bradley Wiggins.

Christie bought the Pinarello Bolide TT bike last year through the Dolan website where it was up for sale for a hefty £10,000.
Among its many specs include a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 electronic drivetrain and Mavic CXR wheels with Mavic CXR-01 tyres.
The 177.5mm cranks came equipped with a Stages power meter with 58/44 chainrings matched to an 11-23 cassette.
