Schoolboy Eoin Hamill was killed in a crash involving a
driver in a car in the Springfield Road area of Belfast yesterday.

While the fatal crash was still in the early stages of
investigation, the PSNI issued a statement confirming Eoin had died.

“Very sadly, a young cyclist has lost his life. He was
13-year-old Eoin Hamill from the local area,” Inspector David McBride said.

“I’m appealing to anyone who was in the Springfield Road
area between 4.15pm and 4.45pm and who witnessed this collision or who may have
captured dash cam footage to get in touch as soon as possible.”
