Look how absolutely ripped Dan Martin's legs are at the Tour

Dan Martin is having a brilliant Tour de France and has been one of the very few GC contenders actually trying to attack and put the yellow jersey under pressure. He's in the shape of his life - or somewhere close to it, and these pictures are proof of that! The shots were taken in the shade so they are a little darker than we'd like, but his legs look incredible.

Dan Martin has left no stone unturned to get himself into top condition for this year’s Tour de France and his lofty position of ninth overall on GC is a surprise to nobody.

The Irishman is his Etixx-QuickStep team's highest-placed rider by some distance and hopes are still high that he can yet challenge the podium.

He’s 2:18 off the man in third Adam Yates (Orica-BikeExchange) with five stages left to go – one of which is an uphill individual time-trial.

Yesterday, he finished in the bunch in the same time as many of his rivals into Berne and on his cool-down after the stage we couldn’t help but notice how absolutely ripped his legs are.
