Liam Curley will spend next year mainly racing in Italy and France after securing a place with UC Monaco.
The Irish teenager, who rode Kreiz Breizh Elites (2.2) on the national team this year, will have an initial meet up with his new team mates next week.
He leaves Ireland
for France on December 6th for a three week training camp before coming back to
Ireland for what remains of the winter.
Curley, a Strata 3-VeloRevolution rider in 2019, said he was looking forward to the step up in races and aimed to use the season abroad to learn and improve.

“We’re racing a lot in Italy;
potentially the Baby Giro, so the caliber of races will be new to me,” he said,
adding he would focus on adjusting to the racing.
“I hope to be making the front groups in races. The Irish U23 title is also something I’d love to win sometime.”
Curley was one of the most consistent riders on the Irish scene this year in what was a very successful first campaign at U23 level.
He took two wins; the Brendan Campbell Memorial and a stage of the Orwell Two Day.
He was on the podium in races no fewer than 11 times and ended the season fifth in the Cycling Ireland A1 rankings.
That was a very impressive standard right through the
season considering he was a junior last year, when he rode on the Irish team in
the Junior Tour of Ireland.
