Irish cycling is about to head into one of the biggest
weekends of the year, second only to the nationals, with the Gorey Three Day,
Rás Mumhan and the Tour of the North all down to be settled.
While the programme is a familiar one for the Easter Bank
Holiday weekend, one new departure has been put in place for Rás Mumhan.
The Kerry Group-sponsored four-day event is taking things
up a notch this year with live streaming.
Footage of the event will be streamed live by Full Time
Productions; which specialises in broadcasting sports events.
The intention at this point is to broadcast the start and finish of each stage live. The action will also be picked up at selected points along the stages.
And the coverage will be completed each day with
post-stage interviews with the key riders of the day.
It sounds like a fantastic addition to the already high quality package put on each year in Kerry.
It appears the action will come to us via Facebook. The Kerry Group Rás Mumhan Facebook page can be accessed here.
