A Jumbo Visma staff member has been wrestled to the ground by Spanish police officers at La Vuelta after appearing to put his hands on one of the officers, which was followed by a robust response by three of those present.
The staff member, wearing team branded clothing, was in the company of Primož Roglič at the time. The duo were standing in the finish area after yesterday's stage, with Roglič taking a drink at the time.
However, when the police tried to move them out of the area - where other riders were arriving as they finished the stage - a disturbance broke out and the Jumbo Visma staff member was wrestled to the ground. While he regained his feet, as a colleague approach trying to calm the situation, the police were not amused.
They appeared to grab the man by the shirt and neck, leading him away from the area as Roglič, who was still on his bike, and other race personnel and media looked on.
