The Irish Veteran Cyclists' Association (IVCA) has now opened its application process to new racing members, after having been closed for some time.
The association, for all Masters riders, is now inviting cyclists to apply for membership to join its racing league for 2022.
The IVCA has proven a very popular organisation for years, with many more riders seeking to join than the association has been able to cater for.
Earlier this year it announced it had affiliated to Cycling Ireland. However, at the time it was not open to new members because it was fully subscribed.
It announced today it was now open to new applications. It is highly likely that will result in a large volume of riders applying. The application process is open until December 17th but is weighted towards those who apply first.
"Due to safety considerations, there will be a limited number of places available for new racing members in the IVCA for 2022, and the pre-application process, registering expressions of interest, is being applied," the IVCA said today.
If you want to register through the new pre-application process you must do so by downloading and completing the form accessible via this link.
Once you have completed your form, you must scan it and return it to [email protected] before December 17th.
"Applicants will be considered on the basis of the date of receipt of their pre-application form," the IVCA said. "All potential new racing members will also be required to attend an accreditation session before their participation in the IVCA is approved.
"You do not need to complete any further application at this stage, or send a membership fee, unless you are notified that your pre-application has been approved following the accreditation session."
