Irvine looking focussed on the London velodrome this morning
Ireland’s Martyn Irvine has gotten his omnium event underway at the London Olympics with 9th this morning in the 250metres Flying Lap. He clocked a time of 13.504.
The first of six races in the two-day schedule was won by Britain’s Ed Clancy, who was part of Team GB’s gold-winning team pursuit quartet last night.
An Post Ras rider in 2011 and points winner in that race, Shane Archbold of New Zealand was second to Clancy in this morning’s opener.
