Ryan Mullen is elite men's champion and he is the hot favourite to repeat his victory of 12 months ago.

The National TT Championships take place in Co Sligo tomorrow with elite, U23, junior and paracycling Irish titles all down for decision.
The course on Thursday is a 17.5km loop in Collooney. The route is rolling with a short climb at 6km.
In the men’s event the big name is the defending champion Ryan Mullen. And the Trek-Segafredo man is very hotly tipped to take the elite crown.
The next most fancied rider in the field is Irish-base Marcus Christie, a former medallist who has every right to fancy his chances.

But missing from the field are a few notable names. Nicolas Roche, for example, is keeping his powder dry for Sunday’s road race.

And there is no Eddie Dunbar; the Aqua Blue Sport man also keeping his eggs in the road race basket and opting not to go deep in a test just before the road contest.

However, there are plenty of other strong contenders in the U23 men’s field.
Michael O'Loughlin (Team Wiggins) is the champion. He will fancy winning again and also taking a medal in the elite test.
Also in the medals hunt is Conn McDunphy (Holdsworth Pro Racing), Xeno Young (Powerhouse Sport) and others.
The elite men’s field is arguably the most open it has been for years. But one woman gunning for the title is defending champion Eileen Burns of Ballymena Road Club.
Her biggest challengers are probably Eve McCrystal (Garda CC) and Kelly Murphy (Chapter 2), both of whom have taken silver in the past.
