Packed scheduled for Irish at Europeans in Germany, Para Worlds Canada

The Irish women's team pursuit line-up gets a very packed elite European Championships underway today in Germany

The riders - and staff - within the Irish cycling squad are set for a busy time at the elite European Championships in Munich over the next 10 days at the Paracycling Worlds in Canada.

The Europeans this year - which get underway in Munich today - are unusual in that they bring all one cycling disciplines together for one major championships. And that means Irish riders are in action from today all the way through to Sunday week.

First up today are our prolific track pursuiters, who took a bronze at the Europeans last year and also claimed World Cup gold in St Petersburg in 2021.

Alice Sharpe, Emily Kay, Kelly Murphy and Mia Griffin will be in action in the team pursuit qualifiers at 3.46pm followed by Ryan Henderson - making history for Irish BMX at these championships - who will ride the BMX freestyle at 4pm.

And then in Canada paracyclists Declan Slevin and Gary O'Reilly line out in the MH3 and MH5 TTs from 5.30pm, getting the Irish campaign underway across the pond.

We've included a full list of all the riders - and their races and times - below for the duration of these European and Paracycling world championships. The blue ribboned events - the men's and women's European road races - take place this Sunday and next Sunday respectively.

We'll have coverage of all the action here on stickybottle.
