The Dunsany GP promoted by Drogheda Wheelers is to be renamed after Sean Lynch and will be held in his honour every year.

Drogheda Wheelers said after
discussions with Sean’s family they had decided to rename the race the Sean
Lynch Memorial, adding everybody would race in honour of their former club
mate.

The event is scheduled on the calendar
for Saturday, May 9th, and is likely to be an emotional occasion as
the cycling community remembers and pays its respects to one of its own.

That the riders will be racing in memory of Sean is a fitting tribute to a man who was so well liked across the cycling community.
