Members of the Irish junior team are currently in Italy training ahead of some major season goals in the next few months.

And while getting in some climbing at altitude in the Italian Alps they bumped into a couple of other bike riders getting some miles in towards their own upcoming goals.

Among them was former Tour de France winner Alberto Contador (Tinkoff).

The Spaniard has just come out of a really hard week at the Criterium du Dauphiné but as he prepares for battle in the Tour de France he’s keeping is mind on training and living at altitude.
