Kelly Murphy, an OIympian and multiple Irish road and track title winner, is appealing for the cycling community's assistance after some of her bikes were stolen in a burglary.

Murphy represented Ireland at the Paris Olympics, where she was part of the team pursuit line-up that finished 8th and smashed the national record.

However, though 2024 was a real high point for her and her team mates, 2025 has now delivered an early blow with the theft of her bikes. She is now hoping members of the cycling community, especially in Ireland and Britain, might see her bikes being offered for sale online and raise the alarm.

The men who carried out the robbery, in Birmingham where Murphy lives, were also captured on CCTV and she is hopeful they may be recognised by bothers who live in the region.

"The ring doorbell has their voices and they're distinctively local to the Birmingham area," she told stickybottle, adding their conversation also suggested the burglars had very specific information.

"The (recording) of their voices gives away it was premeditated, like they were tipped off that our address has expensive bikes."

Murphy's Giant TT frame as well as a Cannondale Synapse were stolen in the burglary. The TT bike has more than a little sentimental value as she won the Irish elite TT title on that bike and also represented Ireland at the Europeans on it.

If anyone sees these bikes being offered for sale or has any information, you could contact Kelly via social media or drop us a line on our socials and we'll pass it on to her.
