With road racing, sportives and even club rides suspended due to Covid19, Cycling Ireland has responded with the launch of an eRacing series with twelve races.
The national governing body is also organising group training sessions, capped at 50 riders, on Zwift.
Racing in the eRacing series will take place for the next 12 weeks on Saturday morning, starting this Saturday, March 28th.
“Cycling Ireland is launching a series of races and
training sessions on the popular online training platform Zwift,” the
federation said.
“With outdoor cycling events and activities curtailed on
government advice, we have moved online to provide fun ways of keeping active
and engaging in some friendly racing rivalry.
“The Cycling Ireland Zwift League is a 12-race series with events being held each Saturday morning starting on March 28th.
"Male and female riders will have four categories to choose from meaning all levels are catered for.”

The opening round of the series takes place from 11.15am this Saturday. The race title is ‘3R Tick Tock Flat Race’ and you can view the race details here.

As well as the eRacing series, some of Ireland’s top cyclists and coaches are set to lead group workouts each Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.
