Irish cyclists in Masters World Cyclocross Championships
Nine Irish cyclists are entered into the Masters World Cyclocross Championships this weekend.
All of the team for the championships in Mol, Belgium, are men. There are a large number of races across the age groups.
The racing is for those aged 30 years and older, with the categories split into five-year bands.
While there are world titles on offer across the races, the 30-33 years race is not for a world title.
Instead, it is effectively a warm-up race for those younger riders to experience the Worlds.
And they must wait until next year to compete for a world title proper when their category becomes a championship race.
