A six-strong Irish team has been named for the 32 LVM Saarland Trofeo junior stage race.
It
takes place in Germany later this month and was previously known as Trofeo
Karlsberg.
This time around the race, under a new name, takes places from June 20th to 23rd. And the Irish team for it is a strong one.
Finley Newmark, who rides for UK team VC Londres, is selected after some very strong performances in Europe already this season in Belgium.
He was 2nd in Danilith Nokere Koerse voor Juniores, 11th in Guido Reybrouck Classic (1.1) and 14th Gent-Wevelgem.

Kevin McCambridge also gets his international
call-up; the Vitus-NRPT-Chill rider having performed very strongly at home this
year.
He was 2nd overall in the Orwell Two Day
at the weekend and was one of the men of the race at the recent Tour of the
North riding against the elite riders.
Away from he also rode strongly in the recent GP Bob
Jungels, spending about 40km off the front solo.
Bothers Will and Archie Ryan are also selected. Will Ryan has been riding in Spain this year and won the Shay Elliott A3-Junior event riding for NRPT.

Archie
(Zappi Racing) claimed the North Tipp Road Race and was also 8th
overall at the Tour of the North.
Tom Moriarty (O’Leary Stone Kanturk) has also been selected, having won several races this year. He claimed a stage of the Gorey Three Day, the Donal Crowley Memorial and the Newbridge GP.
Matthew Devins (Yeats Country) is also selected after a number of strong rides; winning Rás Naomh Finian and the East Tyrone GP.
Eddie
Dunbar, now riding successfully with Team Ineos, won the race in 2015 when it
was known as Trofeo Karlsberg.
Slovenian Kristjan Kumar was presented with the final yellow jersey but later failed a dope test. Dunbar was upgraded from 2nd to 1st overall.
