After a very successful stint in Merrion Square last year, the Irish Cycling Show is back to where it all began and with a new date.
Following the success of its move to Merrion Square to coincide with last May’s Giro d’Italia finish in Dublin, the Irish Cycling Show will return to the RDS Main Hall on April 18th and 19th next.
It was in the Ballsbridge venue that the show began three years ago.
And while CityWest and Merrion Square have both hosted the event since then, promoter Hugh Bonner of Mara Media said he was delighted the RDS was once again available for his preferred dates.
“It’s particularly good to be in the main hall which has consistently generated the biggest public footfall for exhibitions over many years,” said Bonner.
“Ballsbridge is a superb location just minutes by bike from the city centre and it’s important that we bring the show to the people who have supported it in the first three years.
“The event is now established as one of the highlights of the spring season and for many it’s the signal that it’s time to really get going on the bike as the weather improves.
“For 2015, we have brought the Irish Cycling Show forward a few weeks to better synchronise with people’s purchasing plans.
“And we’ll be bringing them a show where they can see the best possible selection of bikes, parts and accessories all under one roof.
“We’ll also have plenty of other attractions to whet the appetite including star appearances, bike rides, a test track, seminars, interviews and plenty more to keep everyone entertained throughout the weekend.”

Promoter Hugh Bonner is promising plenty of entertainment in the RDS to keep everyone happy.
While still five months away, bookings have already been confirmed by some major brands including Trek, Kona and Madison Bikes.
Trek has showcased its bikes at the show since the first edition three years ago and company representative Laura Maher said she was delighted to be returning next year.
“We’re looking forward to displaying all the finest bikes Trek has to offer over the course of the weekend,” she said.
Jim Holstrom, representing another massive brand in the shape of Kona, was similarly enthusiastic.
“It’s always a pleasure to see the passion of the Irish cyclist when they visit us at the Irish bike show in Dublin,” he said.
“It will be our fourth year in a row that we the owners of Kona personally present our line-up at the show. We can't wait to show you all our newest models.”
Following last year’s inaugural promotion, the One4all Women on Wheels Bike Ride will start and finish at the show on Saturday, April 18th.
Supported once again by One4All Bikes4Work, the event is a 30km women’s-only charity bike ride expected to attract a five figure entry list.
We’ll keep you posted on how the show is taking shape in the months ahead.

US manufacturer Trek is back again; just one of a number of major brands already signed up for next April's event.
