Irish cycling kit, first confirmed riders, revealed for Paris Olympics

The Irish cycling team kit for the Paris Olympics and the first riders confirmed to represent the country on world sport's biggest stage

The first riders for the Irish team - and the cycling team's kit - for the Paris Olympics have been confirmed by Sport Ireland in a video of the riders doing a promo photo shoot ahead of of the Games.

The five riders - four and a reserve for the team pursuit - lined out in the Olympic kit ahead of the Olympics, which take place next month.

However, the identity of the two men who will take Irish places on the road, and the woman who will take the sole slot in the road race, are yet to be announced.

There are no surprises in the team pursuit line-up, with Mia Griffin thankfully included in the publicity photos having not raced since she was crashed at the finish of Cyclis Classic (1.2) at the start of May.

Also in the group are Lara Gillespie, Kelly Murphy and Alice Sharpe - the three other riders who have been first choice in the pursuit line-up - and Erin Creighton, has established herself as part of the group as reserve rider.
