Irish cycling clubs unveil new kit and sponsor deals for 2021 and beyond

Ballymena Road Club has gone for a completely new look, not to mention new sponsors

Irish cycling clubs Ballymena Road Club and Island Wheelers have revealed new look kit and new sponsor deals for this year and beyond.

Ballymena, which has had a blue jersey and black shorts for many years, has gone for a completely new look which resembles the Bahrain Victorious kit in the pro peloton.

The Co Antrim club has unveiled its new look along with new sponsors in the shape of the McCool's Centra, which is the new main backer. And Blair International, which has had a relationship with the club before this year, remains as a backer.

"We are very grateful to McCool's and all of our sponsors for their support and generosity," Ballymena RC said. "We are grateful for the continued sponsorship of Blair International Transport."

Meanwhile, Island Wheelers in Co Tyrone is sticking with its usual kit but has announced a new five-year deal with its existing sponsor Chieftain Trailers.

"The Island Wheeler kit is a well recognised throughout the cycling fraternity both in Ulster and indeed all over Ireland and beyond," the club said.

"We really appreciate Chieftain's long term association with our club and look forward to seeing our members wear the kit at the many various events and races over the years ahead."
