Ireland's Eddie Dunbar forced out of Milano-Torino (1.HC) in Italy

Eddie Dunbar has been forced out of the 179km Milano-Torino (1.HC) in Italy today due to illness, his team has confirmed.

Team Ineos did not specify what illness the young Irish rider was suffering from but confirmed he has been forced to abandon.

The development is a blow to both rider and team as Dunbar would have fancied the two late climbs, the second one taking the riders to a summit finish atop a 4.9km ascent.

Egan Bernal, Ivan Sosa and Tao Geoghegan Hart were also in the Team Ineos line-up today.
