Cormac Mcgeough has secured a place for the 2020 season
on Wildlife Generation, an American Continental level team.
The 23-year-old is going into his third year in the pro
peloton having started with Jelly Belly p/b Maxxis in 2018.
He then joined the EvoPro Racing Irish Continental team
last year before now making the move back to the United States.
The team he will ride for this season is effectively the Jelly Belly outfit he started with but which has a new sponsor and has been rebranded.
Mcgeough will get the 2020 season underway with the eight-day Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia in early February.
His family is from Carrickmacross in Co Monaghan and he has been an Irish citizen since birth though he grew up in the US.
Mcgeough only began road racing when he was in university
in the US and in 2017 he rode for a stint with Trek-Landis, an elite US team.

He rode the Tour of the Gila and the Cascade Classic that
year before traveling to Ireland for a number of months.
He raced here for a period with the assistance of former
pro Philip Lavery and his family and won the Meath GP.
Immediately he began riding for the Jelly Belly p/b
Maxxis in 2018 he scored 3rd on a stage of the Tour of the Gila after making
the breakaway.
He was also 2nd
in the young rider classification at the Tour of Taihu Lake (2.1) in China in 2018.
Last year while riding for EvoPro Racing he ended his
season after the National Road Championships in Sligo at the end of the June.
He is now set to go again with his US-based team.
