Incredible undertaking on cycle lane, pavement by driver in Dublin Bus | Video

This footage, of undertaking by a driver in a Dublin Bus, was posted on Twitter and has to be seen to be believed

This foot of a Dublin Bus undertaking a line of traffic has to be seen to be believed, with the cycle lane and pavement used to form of a bus lane of sorts so the driver on the bus is not unduly delayed.

The recording of the incident was shared by a Twitter user who said he was sitting in traffic between Rathfarnham and Terenure in south Dublin yesterday when the bus passed on the inside. The bus is clearly being driven with two wheels on the cycle lane and the other two on the pavement, which runs outside a row of houses. (We have an update on this story right here)

The bus, which appears to be out of service, is driven along the inside of the line of traffic. A little further on, as a driver of a vehicle is coming out of an adjoining road, the bus appears to come off the pavement and rejoin the road.

Thankfully there were no reports of any collisions or injuries though the incident is one of the more remarkable ones we have seen. While it is, sadly, not uncommon to see cars being driven on cycle lanes and partial up on pavements in Dublin, it's the first time we have seen footage of a bus being driven in this manner.
