The Omagh Three Day carries equal prize money for the men's and women's races. The total prize fund runs to £1,840.
Huge field for Omagh Three Day
The Omagh Three Day has attracted a bumper field, with 120 riders in the men's race, for A4s, and 29 signing on for the separate women's event.
And host club Omagh Wheelers is offering equal prize money for the men's and women's races. The total prize fund runs to £1,840.
Getting underway tomorrow evening, Friday; the first stage takes the riders on a 43 mile route. There are three KOH points; the long climb of Scraghey on the menu.
The following day, Saturday, is a split stage with a flat 2.5 miles TT in Omagh in the morning. That is followed by a 46 mile road stage in the afternoon.
And though there are just two KOH points in that afternoon stage, race director Stevie McKenna says the course is undulating all the way and is "surprisingly tough".

Omagh Three Day then concludes with a 44 mile road race on Sunday and with testing terrain late in the day the race could go down to the wire.
The final climb of three is a cat 1 with about 10 miles remaining. There will be nowhere to hide after a tough weekend of racing.
There are prizes for the top 3 on each stage, top 10 overall and top 3 in the points classification – in both races.
And in the men's and women's races there are also prizes for unplaced junior and masters riders and a team prize overall.
In the men’s race there is a KOH classification with the top three receiving cash prizes.
That category does not apply to the women’s race, though that is the only difference in prizes on offer. And all of the prizes are of equal value in both events.
