Weight has been added to the hobo-ish Leinster Championships as the event has found a home in the Friends First Laragh Classic.
Hosted by St Tiernan's Cycling Club, the Laragh Classic is the final open race of the season and a tough one at that.
The field tackles a long circuit of demanding, hilly roads around Wicklow in a homage to routes typical to European classic racing.
Last year Lucan CRC ran the Leinster Championships in its recognised format; as a standalone road race.
It was won by this year's star man at Aquablue Sean McKenna on the day before he got into the winning break at the Laragh Classic.

The championships have often struggled to find a promoting club when run on their own and this move to attach it to an established race could secure its future and its competitiveness.
Brian O'Neill from title sponsors Friends First said: "In 2014 we were keen for St Tiernan's CC to develop the event from an A3 only race to one for all categories.
"We were delighted with the success of last year and are happy to continue our support through 2015 to help this event become a permanent fixture on the Irish cycling calendar.
"The staging of a provincial championships as part of the overall event is much more than we expected and we are delighted that St Tiernan's CC has been offered this opportunity by the Cycling Leinster commitee. "
The Friends First Laragh Classic incorporating the Leinster Championships will be run on Sunday, September 13th.
