The dust has barely settled on Sam Bennett’s exploits on the Tour de France but now you can get to re-live them in a new film by his Deceuninck-QuickStep team.
Earlier this year the Belgian WorldTour outfit launched several short films, each about eight minutes long, bringing us inside the team at Tour Colombia in a series called The Wolfpack Insider.
Now the concept is back but this time the Wolfpack Insider: Tour de France is a bigger deal as it’s 55 minutes long; a much more sizeable piece.
There’s no race in cycling quite look the Tour de France and while Dan Martin and Nicolas Roche have both ridden very strongly at the Tour during their careers, this year’s edition was special for Irish cycling fans.
Sam Bennett not
only scored two wins on the race – stages 10 and 21 – he was also involved in
race-long battle with Peter Sagan (Bora-hansgrohe) for the green jersey.
That turned into a fascinating competition and was the best race for points classification honours the Tour has seen for decades, with an Irish win at the end of it all.
And now thanks to Deceuninck-QuickStep we’ll get to go backstage inside the team on the race with this new film.
It’s being launched tomorrow, Friday, morning at 10am
Irish time and it’s free to view. All you have to do is register with the team’s
website and you’ll be able to watch the film.
So go to the team’s site at this link and register yourself by using your email address and making up a password for yourself.
We’ve been registered with the team for a long time and they don’t bombard their subscribers with any spam. You’ll just get occasional updates about the team’s riders and racing so there’s no need to be reluctant to register.
And once you are
registered and logged on you’ll be able to access the film when it is released
on Friday morning.
That link for registration, again, is right here. Enjoy!
