The National TT Championships were a great success yesterday, with many of Ireland's best riders in action despite the title races taking place so late in the season.
The elite women's and men's titles when to Joanna Patterson (The Independent Pedeler) and Ryan Mullen (Trek-Segafredo) respectively. Patterson was taking her first title after a recent switch to cycling and Mullen was winning his 5th elite TT crown.
There were also wins in the junior categories for Caoimhe May (Orwell Wheelers) and Darren Rafferty (Villeneuve Cycliste). Kevin McCambridge (Amical Velo Club Aixois) won the U23 men's title while the women's Masters crown went to Jane Wilkinson (Bann Wheelers).
Richael Timothy (Castlerea CC) won the C1-C5 Solo gold while the H1-H5 title went to Declan Slevin (Rosemount Cycling Club). Damien Vereker and pilot Martin Mizgajsk of Comeragh CC took gold in the tandem event.
