Thibaut Pinot's departure from the Tour de France yesterday with a torn muscle was almost as disappointing as the stage being stopped due to bad weather and landslides.
Pinot, the stage winner on the Tourmalet, looked like the only rider who could possibly take the win from Team Ineos.
And when he had to stop yesterday it was no surprise that temperatures ran high.
