Pressing the flesh: New champ Irvine with (left) Jack Cromwell and Conor Dawson, both aged 10 years and from Stamullen, Co Meath
Here’s a few shots we’ve put together of Martyn Irvine’s homecoming at Dublin Airport last night, Friday. Having won gold and silver at the UCI Track World Championships in Minsk, Belarus, on Thursday Irvine journeyed home last night to a hero’s welcome at the airport. A great crowd turned out to meet him despite the late night arrival. Thanks to Sportsfile and Gary McIlroy for the shots.
