God be with the days of lads piling into the back of a HiAce; check out Team Sky's new car

Team Sky's vehicle partner, Jaguar has really out done itself this time.

The luxury car giant has designed, engineered and built a bespoke F-TYPE Coupé high performance support vehicle for the team to use during stage 20 time trial of the Tour de France on Saturday which sees the riders power down the road between from Bergerac to Périgueux.

The unique F-TYPE features a new racking solution which can carry two Pinarello Bolide TT bikes, and a separate electric supply in the boot which powers the radios, amplifiers, microphones, horns and televisions which will enable communication between sports directors and riders.

Team head Dave Brailsford was handed the keys during the second rest day in Carcassonne yesterday, and said he was delighted to be working so closely with one of the team’s key innovation partners.
