Giro Shorts: Sean Kelly mishap, Sam Bennett and Caleb Ewan face-off
Sean Kelly's Giro d'Italia mishap showed why he was never a domestique...
Here's a couple of things you may have missed on the Giro d'Italia in recent days.
Above, Sean Kelly showed he would never have made a domestique.
It was his turn to leave the commentary box and come back with coffees and ice creams.
But while the domestiques on this race are expert at going back to the cars for drinks, Kelly spilled the coffees all over himself! Still, at least he saved the ice creams...
And in the first image below, Sam Bennett and Caleb Ewan went head to head the day before yesterday.
The duo are sprint rivals of course, but good mates too.
So when they came to the line in the last group they did a mock sprint for 3rd last on the stage; Bennett throwing a loaf into the Australian.
Also below, Irish company Victory Chimp has come up with some lovely Giro-themed prints for the 100th edition of the race.
