Gardai have arrested three men after a lorry about to board the ferry at Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford was found to contain stolen property that included bikes.
The Garda said the total value of the stolen goods seized was an estimated €70,000, though it was unclear at the time of writing how many stolen bikes were found.
A statement from the Garda last night, Friday, said: "Gardaí have arrested three men and seized suspected stolen property during an operation at Rosslare Europort last evening 25th February 2016.
"At 9.30pm on 25th, during a joint operation between Gardaí and Revenue's Customs officers at Rosslare Europort, a white Mercedes lorry was stopped as it was about to board a ferry departing Rosslare for Cherbourg.
"An initial search of the lorry revealed what Gardaí believed to be stolen property.
"During a further search of the lorry property including bicycles, power tools and garden machinery and beer kegs were discovered.
"The approximate monetary value of the property seized is in the region of €70,000.

The kegs of beer that were contained in the lorry with the bikes intercepted in Rosslare.

Packed in tight on the back of the lorry caught before it left the country.
