Gardaí have launched a public appeal for information after a driver hit a cyclist in Co Wexford this morning, Thursday, and then fled the scene of the crash.
While the cyclist escaped without serious injury, he was left shaken by the experience and his BMC carbon racing bike was also badly damaged, as these photos released by Wexford gardaí reveal.

“The vehicle (driver – ed) involved failed to remain at the scene. Thankfully the cyclist suffered no serious injuries. However, this incident could've been much worse.
“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information to assist our investigation to contact us at Wexford Garda station.”
