
A cyclist who was injured in a crash involving a driver in a car has died in hospital almost two weeks after the incident. Gardaí are investigating the death of the man, who was in his 20s, in south Dublin and have appealed for witnesses.
Gardaí have confirmed the victim, who was involved in the crash on November 14th, died from his injuries on Tuesday. And though they were already investigating the crash, they have now made another public appeal following the death of the victim.
"Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the N11 in Cabinteely on Thursday, 14th November 2024," the Garda said in a statement.
"Gardaí and Emergency services attended a collision involving a car and e-bike, on the N11 at the junction with Johnstown Road shortly before 5pm.
"The cyclist, a man aged in his 20s, passed away from his injuries yesterday, Tuesday, 26th November 2024. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
"Any road users who may have camera footage - including dash-cam - and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí."
