The Garda has targeted drivers parking on cycle lanes in one
part of Dublin city and has promised further similar actions.

A total of 19 drivers received fixed charge penalty notices
in the operation by the Garda’s Dublin Metropolitan Region Roads Policing unit.

That operation was carried out on Friday morning. Furthermore,
a further wave of enforcements was promised for Friday evening.

However, news of how that second phase went was not yet
available at the time of writing.

Gardai to their official Twitter account to publish photos
of the enforcement operation.

“DMR Roads Policing today carried out an operation targeting
drivers parked in cycle-bus lanes on Cork Street, Dublin 8,” it said.

“In total 19 motorists received FCPNs. We will be carrying
out a similar operation in this area again this evening. Please respect cycle
lanes.”
