A teenage boy has been left with serious injuries after being knocked from his bike by a hit and run driver.
The incident occurred in Dublin last night, Sunday, February, 4th.
Gardai said the driver of the car that hit the boy in the Tallaght area did not stop. And they have launched an appeal seeking witnesses.
“Gardaí at Tallaght are appealing for witnesses to a serious hit and run road traffic collision at approximately 8.50p.m. on Cheeverstown Road, Tallaght,” Garda media officers said of the incident.
“A 14-year-old male pedal cyclist was struck by a car which failed to remain at the scene.
“The youth was taken to Crumlin Children's Hospital where he is in a serious condition.
“The car involved is described as a black saloon car, possibly a VW Passat or a Saab.”
