Frustrated Sagan drops the F-bomb on TV after Tour mishap | Video

Peter Sagan at the intermediate sprint on stage 7 of the Tour de France from Millau to Lavaur; taking 2nd in that sprint and only 13th at the finish, before dropping the f-bomb on the Tour official interview after the stage

Peter Sagan has dropped the f-bomb on his official Tour
de France interview after taking the green jersey on stage 7 today.

With a categorised climb right at the start the stage,
Sagan’s Bora-hansgrohe team went to the front and drilled the pace with the aim
of dropping the main sprinters.

The effort was successful as the best sprinters in the
race lost contact, including Sam Bennett Deceuninck-QuickStep who was in the
green jersey today.

However, while Bennett was unable to contest the
intermediate sprint, Sagan only took 2nd as Matteo Trentin (CCC Team) beat him
to maximum points.

And though the sprint at the end of the stage for the
victory was between just 40 riders, Sagan could only manage 13th; Wout van Aert
(Jumbo Visma) winning.

“Everything seemed very good and then I had bad luck in
the final,” he said after his team had ridden very hard for most of the stage
though Sagan was unable to make an impact at the finish.

“My chain just dropped and I didn’t earn as many points
as I wanted… but that’s cycling. I’m proud of all my teammates. They
fought very hard from the beginning until the end.

“I can win the green jersey on stages like today, although with a different finale. Everything was very nice but the end was… f*cking cycling."
