Fraser Duncan has joined Team ASEA for the coming season having left the squad he rode with last year, Northern CC-Dave Kane cycles.

The Bangor, Co Down man will link up with what looks on paper like one of the strongest line-ups in Irish cycling.

With Damien Shaw, Bryan McCrsytal, Chris Reilly, Joe Fenlon, Roger Aiken and Ali Macaulay all already on board, the addition of Duncan gives them even greater depth.

He’s a seasoned road man, having enjoyed more wins on home roads than anyone else last year.

The 29 year-old had a stunning early season in 2014; winning three stages in the Tour of the North as well as the Tour of Ards.

He was victorious in the Coombes-Connor Memorial in Drogheda in early April, which was his fifth win in two months, more than any other rider at the time.

Other notable triumphs included the John Moore Memorial and the Red Hand Trophy and he blasted into Ryan Connor's Northern Ireland selection for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Team ASEA will challenge for all the big races on the domestic calendar, going up against the other strong line-ups including, amongst others; Aquablue CC, UCD CC, MODA Kingdom Endurance Sports and DID Dunboyne.
