Former top pro calls out expert wearing underpants under cycle shorts

Two very tough riders, and neither of whom would need advice from a bloke on a club run wearing underpants under his cycling shorts; Robbie McEwan, left, and Baden Cooke battle during a Tour de France sprint in their pomp.
He won the green jersey in the Tour de France in his day. He took no prisoners all the way and was one of the best bike handlers in the game.
But, clearly, not everyone recognises Baden Cooke when he's out on the bike these days.
The former top sprinter has taken to social media with a brilliant one-liner about meeting somebody who thought they knew it all but really knew very little.
While the new guy was wearing underpants under his cycling shorts, that didn't stop him offering advice to former top pro Cooke.
Gotta love swapping turns in the morning bunch and receiving bunch etiquette tips from a bloke wearing undies under his knicks.

"Gotta love swapping turns in the morning bunch and receiving bunch etiquette tips from a bloke wearing undies under his knicks," he said on Facebook.
"I tried to explain that we should be rotating into the wind not away from it. But I was quickly informed that 'we don't do it like that'.
"I guess I didn't receive the memo that the rules for riding in echelons had changed."
Top career in pro ranks
Australian Cooke won a stage and the green jersey in the 2003 Tour de France. And while that was his highpoint he scored significant success right from the junior ranks all the way through his pro days.
He won more than 30 races as a pro during a career that spanned 2000 to 2013.
Cooke started with Francaise des Jeux then went on to Unibet, Barloworld, Vacansoleil and Team Saxo Bank.
Finally he spent two seasons with Orica-GreenEdge before bowing out of the sport in 2013.
Since retiring he has worked as an agent and is part-owner of Factor Bikes and the Black Inc wheel company.
