Roche looking good in the new-look Tinkoff-Saxo kit; let's hope it's as good for him in 2014 as it was last year.
The Tinkoff-Saxo 2014 team has been officially unveiled in Gran Canaria, with the photographs coming from the event showing Nicolas Roche in the reworked kit for the coming season.
While the Tinkoff branding now takes pride of place on the kit before Saxo Bank, the gear is also brighter than last year, with a greater use of yellow in the jersey and a dash of sky blue also lightening the mood.
Roche, now aged 29 years, is currently recovering from a knee injury sustained in November but has just returned to training.
While that time off the bike means his early season plans have been tweaked, he said today he was still confident of being in top share for the Giro d'Italia which starts in Belfast in May.
"I’m looking to hit peak form for the Giro," he said.
"It’s going to be a great atmosphere in Belfast and Dublin. The number of Irish supporting me at the Tour is incredible and I can’t wait to experience even greater support in Ireland."
We'll bring you an interview later with the 2013 Vuelta stage winner.

Yellow is also the dominant theme to the shorts; completing the brighter 2014 look

So keen was the team to keep its new kit under wraps - with Tinkoff now the dominant sponsor - that Roche (left) and his team mates were riding in gear with no livery at their training camp.
