The Irish riders who have signed for new Irish Continental team EvoPro Racing are getting their seasons underway in Spain. Among those to line out is Daire Feeley, above.
Most of EvoPro Racing’s Irish riders are set to get their season underway tomorrow at Challenge Mallorca.
Mark Downey, Daire Feeley, Aaron Kearney and Cormac McGeough are part of a seven-man team that will take on the 176km Trofeo Ses Salines tomorrow.
The same quartet will ride the 170km Trofeo Andratx on Friday, as well as Saturday’s 140km Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana.
And all four will also be in action in the final race of the Challenge Mallorca series on Sunday; the 160km Trofeo Playa de Palma.
It will be a very solid stint of racing for the Irish riders, facing WorldTour opposition in all four events.

And the team’s appearance in Spain marks the first time EvoPro Racing will race in Europe.
They currently have another roster of riders in Australia and were racing in New Zealand last week.

Earlier today Wouter Wippert took 3rd in the opening stage of the Herald Sun Tour in Australia; behind Dan McLay (EF Education First) and Kristoffer Halvorsen (Team Sky).
In New Zealand the team won the one-day Gravel and Tar Classic and took a stage and the overall of the New Zealand Cycle Classic.
At the Herald Sun Tour, which got underway today, the EvoPro Racing riders are facing much stiffer opposition compared to the races they rode in New Zealand.
Likewise, the field the Irish riders will compete against Challenge Mallorca will be star-studded.
Among the teams riding the four races are Movistar, Mitchelton-Scott, Lotto-Soudal, Bora-hansgrohe, Trek-Segafredo, Katusha-Alpecin and UAE Team Emirates.
Dan Martin of UAE Team Emirates will also get his 2019 campaign underway at Challenge Mallorca.
