EvoPro Racing has signed Peter Koning in a mid-season transfer. The Dutch rider competed with Aqua Blue Sport in 2017 and last year.
Since the start of the current campaign the 28-year-old has ridden with the German Continental level team Bike Aid.
Competing in the German squad's colours he won a stage and the overall at the Tour of Mersin (2.2) in Turkey in April.
He also claimed 7th overall at the Tour of Mesopotamia (2.2), also in Turkey.
EvoPro Racing has signed Koning to fill a vacancy in its roster created by the departure of Shane Archbold.
The Kiwi has rejoined WorldTour team, where he has been signed as lead-out man for Sam Bennett.
He secured a place back at the highest level after Peter Kennaugh decided to take a break from racing, creating a space in that team.
Koning joins EvoPro Racing during its maiden season, which has proven very successful so far.
The Irish cycling team has taken eight victories in UCI-ranked races; a very solid tally for a new put together quickly over the winter.
Its Irish riders will be back in Ireland next month for the National Road Championships.
