Eurocycles’ Martin emerges solo from breakaway to take Tour of Armagh

Thomas Martin has continued Eurocycles’ run of good results this season, overpowering the opposition at the ‘Classic Mineral Water Tour of Armagh’ to take an impressive victory.

Martin got across to an early escape just before the 20 miles mark and claimed the KOH prime on Keady Mountain at the 35 mile point.

Just after cresting that climb, the breakaway looked as if it might be caught by the main bunch less than one minute in arrears. Martin decided he was going to press ahead from the breakaway on his own and managed to hold off the bunch as the race sped into the finish in Lurgan, though the rest of the breakaway were reabsorbed.
