Ryan Sherlock leads Evan Ryan during Round 1 at Grange Castle last Saturday week
Following on from the virtually flat Grange Castle course for the opening round of the ‘Fixx Coffeehouse Supercross Cup’ the weekend before last, the second round this Sunday, October 14th, is on a testing hilly course in Swords, north Dublin.
For the second year running the race is being held on the hilly side of Ward Park, with steep climbs and steep descents as well as the return of the 'Hamburger Hill' fearsome run up.
Also added is a sand/gravel section which should force riders to dismount a second time each lap. Some alterations have been made to the course from last year to keep riders clear of the muddiest sections of the park in an effort to keep the speed up.
The A and B races are restricted to 60 riders each and organisers Team WORC – supported this time around by Swords CC - tell us the fields are already starting to fill up.
